Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-14

This Privacy Policy describes how Dropclip ("we", "us") handles personal information when you use our websites, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It describes what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.

Who we are

The data controller for the Services is the entity operating Dropclip. For privacy requests, contact us at support@dropclip.co.

Information we collect

  • Account and profile. When you register or sign in, we process identifiers such as your email address, authentication tokens, and profile details you choose to provide.
  • Content you upload. Video, audio, images, captions, edits, project metadata, and similar creative assets you submit to the Services.
  • Integrations. If you connect third-party platforms (for example social or scheduling providers), we receive tokens, account identifiers, and configuration needed to perform the actions you authorize. Encrypted or restricted credentials may be stored so the integration keeps working until you disconnect it.
  • Usage and technical data. IP address, device and browser type, approximate location derived from IP, timestamps, pages or screens viewed, diagnostic logs, and similar data needed to operate and secure the Services.
  • Support messages. Information you send when you contact support, including your name, email, and the contents of your message.

How we use information

We use the categories above to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services (including processing, storage, transcription, and exports).
  • Authenticate users, prevent fraud and abuse, and protect security.
  • Communicate with you about the Services, including transactional messages and responses to inquiries.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and defend legal claims.
  • Analyze aggregate or de-identified usage to understand product performance (where permitted).

Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)

Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on one or more of the following:

  • Contract — processing necessary to provide the Services you request.
  • Legitimate interests — for example securing the platform, improving reliability, and understanding usage in a way that does not override your rights.
  • Consent — where we ask for it (for example for certain cookies or marketing, if offered).
  • Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.

How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to run the Services, including with:

  • Infrastructure and service providers such as hosting, authentication, database, object storage, email delivery, logging, and security vendors. These processors handle data on our instructions.
  • AI and media processing providers when you use features that rely on them (for example speech-to-text or metadata generation), subject to our agreements and this Policy.
  • Integrated third parties when you direct us to publish, schedule, or otherwise interact with those services on your behalf.
  • Professional advisors, acquirers, or authorities where required for legal, compliance, or corporate transaction purposes.

We do not sell your personal information as that term is commonly defined in U.S. state privacy laws.

International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers of personal data.

Retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of data and legal requirements.

Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@dropclip.co. We may need to verify your request.

Children

The Services are not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated through the Services or by email where appropriate.
